With over 14 years as a Director at MDP, Markam is a strategic thinker and project leader, known for delivering award-winning architectural outcomes across residential, commercial, heritage, and seniors living sectors.
Markam brings deep expertise in all facets of project delivery, with a strong focus on heritage and seniors living work. His leadership ensures design and delivery excellence across complex projects, guiding teams from concept to completion. Rachel Story

Rachel brings extensive expertise to her role as General Manager at MDP, leading complex health and aged care projects with skill in project architecture, contract administration, and client-focused delivery from feasibility to completion.
With a strong background in healthcare and aged care, Rachel leads project delivery from design to contract administration. She manages documentation, tendering, council submissions, and novation processes. Her work includes Westmead Rehab and Bupa Willoughby. Rachel also contributes to industry standards, including the Uniting RACF Design Guide, highlighting her leadership and dedication.
Peter Kennedy
Peter is a seasoned finance professional with strong project management and business leadership skills, driving strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and financial performance through effective reporting, risk management, and collaborative execution.
With over 20 years’ experience, Peter leads financial strategy and project delivery across property and local government sectors. His expertise spans budgeting, feasibility modelling, compliance, and corporate governance. Known for his hands-on approach, Peter excels in stakeholder management, decision-making support, and mentoring—ensuring strong business outcomes through communication, leadership, and financial oversight.
Angela Wang
Angela leads with clarity, delivering high-performing aged care, retirement living, residential, hotel and school projects through expert design and construction management. Her flexible, fractional approach adds value through Early Contractor Involvement and strategic coordination.
Angela combines almost two decades of building experiences with a hands-on leadership style across design, construction, and project delivery. Her strengths lie in Early Contractor Involvement, design and construction strategy, constructability, cost planning, stakeholder collaboration, and construction-phase problem solving. She builds momentum through trusted relationships, guiding clients with practical insight, adaptability, and a deep understanding of sector-specific needs.
Amir Safaei

Amir brings over two decades of architectural and urban design expertise to MDP, shaping thoughtful, design-led outcomes across public, residential, and commercial projects with deep insight into planning frameworks and policy.
Amir is a registered architect and urban designer with extensive experience delivering complex projects across sectors. With leadership roles in both government and private practice, he excels in high-level design, documentation, construction knowledge, and policy development. His strengths lie in multi-disciplinary coordination, urban planning insight, and navigating NSW’s planning systems with clarity.
Michael Medcalf

Michael brings over 40 years of architectural expertise, leading projects from master planning through to delivery. His breadth spans residential, commercial, and retirement sectors, with deep experience in faith-based and not-for-profit work.
Michael leads with a hands-on, holistic approach, overseeing all design and technical inputs across every project phase. His expertise includes feasibility, 3D visualisation, documentation, and construction administration. He has a long-standing history with clients like the Uniting Church, Wesley Mission, Walker Corp, Coles Myer Property and Bovis Lend Lease, delivering tailored, value-driven solutions across diverse, complex developments.
Christine Hawkes
Christine is a highly experienced interior designer with a diverse portfolio spanning healthcare, hospitality, residential, and public spaces. She blends creative insight with technical precision to deliver thoughtful, functional environments.
With expertise in design management, project delivery, and contract administration, Christine leads interiors from concept to completion. Her work is grounded in colour psychology, lighting, and space planning. A New York-trained designer, she brings a refined, user-centric approach to each project—balancing aesthetic quality with operational functionality across varied industry sectors.

Vee is an experienced architect specialising in Health and Aged Care projects, known for his expertise in aged care design, sustainable practices, and delivering projects from concept to completion.
As a key member of MDP Architecture’s Health and Aged Care teams, Vee manages full project delivery. He brings strong spatial planning and presentation skills, with a focus on Residential Aged Care design. Passionate about sustainability, Vee integrates Green Star rating tools to enhance environmental performance across all developments.
Tarsa Moayed
Tarsa leads residential projects from concept to completion, pairing design talent with deep technical knowledge. Her cross-sector experience and confident project leadership ensure well-resolved, compliant outcomes across all stages.
Tarsa combines design flair with rigorous documentation skills to guide residential projects of all scales—from bespoke homes to high-rise developments. With experience across South Africa, the UK and Australia, Duran’s work balances form, function, and ecology. Enzo Macolino

With a career spanning Australia and New Zealand, Tristan’s deep technical capability supports healthcare and residential design outcomes. Gesen’s diverse portfolio spans Australia, New Zealand, and China, with strengths in design management, master planning, and interior space planning. He has delivered major projects exceeding $300 million, balancing creative vision with budget and program constraints. A skilled mentor and versatile designer, Gesen brings clarity and high-performance thinking to complex briefs.

Eva is a graduate architect completing her Masters, bringing strong technical skills, design curiosity, and a focus on sustainability and housing equity across residential, aged care, and commercial projects at MDP.
With nearly three years at MDP, Eva has contributed to projects across multiple sectors and stages, demonstrating capability in Revit, Enscape, and Adobe Suite.
